A Scholar Rooted in a Blessed Lineage
Mufti Syed Adnan Kakakhail descends from the Kakakhail spiritual lineage — a direct descendant of "Shaykh-e-Rahamkaar Hazrat Kaka Sahib." His grandfather, Maulana Uzair Gul, was a prominent Islamic scholar and independence movement participant who was imprisoned by British colonial forces in Malta for his advocacy.
From an early age, Mufti Adnan immersed himself in Islamic sciences, studying Hadith, Fiqh, Tafseer, Seerat al-Nabi, and Aqeedah under distinguished scholars. His command of Arabic and Urdu allowed him to deliver lectures at universities, Bar Associations, Chambers of Commerce, and on national television — where he became known as one of Pakistan's most compelling debaters and speakers.
Recognised by the Government of Pakistan with the Presidential Award for Best Debater, Mufti Adnan has addressed audiences at LUMS, Bahria University, COMSATS, University of Peshawar, POF Wah, and dozens of professional bodies. He is equally at home delivering a deeply spiritual Friday sermon and engaging analytically with legal or economic questions through an Islamic lens.
In founding Al-Burhan, he built an institution designed to make rigorous Islamic education accessible — weekend classes, evening sessions, professional-friendly schedules — reaching working men and women, students, and businesspeople who cannot commit to full-time madrassah studies. Today, Al-Burhan's Seerat Circles alone run in 65 cities simultaneously.
